Quickly the site evolved into a desire to share the ways in which people were using the book—as a simple book of poetry to read and enjoy, as a daily or weekly diary, as a guest book, an autograph book, a coffee table book, a book folks were reading at impromptu gatherings, as an inspirational springboard for creating more haiku, or for promoting journaling as a pathway to health and well being.
